You may have to obtain a permit for asbestos removal.<\/p><p>The first step in determining if your demolition or renovation project requires a permit is to determine the type of structure that will be affected. THD regulates demolition and renovation projects involving institutional, commercial, public, industrial or residential structures. An exception to this regulation is a single residential structure that contains four or fewer dwelling units.
